The shared salt water pool and sunbathing area is surrounded by lush tropical gardens, creating a beautiful and tranquil atmosphere to relax in. The pool features a sandstone waterfall guarded by two Sphinx statues and is decorated with an Egyptian Ankh – said to energise the water and bestow health benefits upon the bathers.
Restaurants and Activities
Inexpensive local restaurants and street food stalls can be found just a short walk from the complex, as well as interesting sights such as a bird market and monkey theatre. A short drive will take you to the stunning white sand beach, shopping, restaurants and nightlife of Chaweng, or to the picturesque fisherman’s village of Bophut with its wooden Chinese shop-houses, one of the oldest and best preserved places on Koh Samui. Tip: It’s worth bearing in mind when walking after dark that there is not a huge amount of lighting near Baan Luxor, so a pocket torch might come in handy!
Though far from “remote”, Baan Luxor is tucked away from the madding crowds and could prove a little tricky to find upon arrival. An airport shuttle service can be arranged at an additional charge.
