There is nothing better than a glass of fine wine in the early evening, perhaps with views upon vistas of vineyards or perhaps in a local restaurant hidden away in a rustic region, dripping with wineries. Does it matter where this region is? Probably not, more important is the quality of wine, the warmth of the sunshine and the jollity of the company.
EPIC WINE TOURS is a company founded by Mr. Ilias Anthidis and Μr.Patroklos Koudounis who decided to join forces when they realized that they had a shared knowledge and passion for fine wine. Ilias holds the reins of one of the largest wine and spirits merchants of Greece. His accumulated experience is unique when one considers that his grandfather founded CAVA ANTHIDIS in 1945, when he first imported and sold Johnnie Walker Red Label outside of the Athens Stock Exchange. Ilias, who holds a degree in wine studies, has a 10-year managerial experience and an inexhaustible appetite for the promotion of Greek wine and culinary art, has selected the best wine makers, chefs and hoteliers of Greece to support EPIC WINE TOURS with all their forces.
Last summer, they decided to try to create and offer the best Wine & Food tours in the world! These tours include top hotels, incredible lunches and dinners with unlimited consumption of the best Greek wines (average price of each bottle in the restaurant 80 euro!) and 2 visits at wineries every day. They believe this to be one of the best wine & food tours in the world and they should know.
Their next Epic Wine Tour starts on the 24th of January. The Macedonia & The Lakes Experience tours travels from Athens through Nymfeo and Naoussa, ending in Thessaloniki
