Etihad Airways has launched its first A380 service to the US. The superjumbo is now serving one of the airline’s two daily flights between Abu Dhabi and New York JFK. The nine First Apartments are private suites featuring a reclining Poltrona Frau leather lounge chair and ottoman, which opens up to become a full-flat bed. Each also comes with a 24-inch television, mini-bar, personal vanity unit, and wardrobe. First class passengers are also given access to a shower room.
70 Business Studios are also located on the upper deck of the superjumbo. Cconfigured in a 1-2-1 layout, these seats guarantee direct aisle access. Both first and business class passengers also have access to The Lobby – a lounge situated between the first and business cabins. This bar has a seating area and serves a wide selection of hot snacks and refreshments. The 415 Economy Smart seats are all located in the lower deck.
