Following my review on the soon to be launched American Airlines (AA) Premium Economy offering, I can now confirm that this product will come into circulation over the next three years.
I have included photos of the new premium economy product below and above and this Premium Economy Service will be rolled out on American Airlines B777-300ER, B777-200ER, B787-8 and A330 planes.
In-Flight experience in American Airlines Premium Economy
AA’s new premium economy product will feature a leather seat with 38 inches of pitch, larger touchscreen monitors, noise-cancelling headphones, AC power outlets and USB ports.
Passengers onboard will benefit from an enhanced dining experience, with upgraded meal options and complimentary spirits, beer and wine. On the ground, customers will also be able to check up to two bags free of charge and will be given priority boarding ahead of those seated in the main cabin (economy).
Rollout of the American Airlines Premium Economy is scheduled to begin in late 2016 on the B787-9 aircraft – (the airline has 22 currently on order). The premium economy cabin on the Dreamliner will feature seats arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration, (photos courtesy of American Airlines).
