Aerion Corp, who have partnered with Airbus to develop a Supersonic jet, say that the jet is expected to fly New York to London in only 4.5 hours. Standard jets on this route currently take around 7 hours

Aerion has also secured its first customer for the AS2 Supersonic private jet. Flexjet who run a business jet service have ordered 20 supersonic jet planes for its business services at an estimated cost of $2.4 billion. The cost of each individual AS2 jet is coming in at $120 million per plane. The AS2 is deigned to carry just 8-12 passengers and has a top speed of Mach 1.5. Flexjet should take delivery of these little beauties in 2023.
