Highlights From Our Superb Luxury Travel Event

Just in case you missed it, Luxury Travel Diary and Driven2Travel put on a fantastic Luxury Travel extravaganza last weekend. We were joined by 60 luxury travellers and all enjoyed 3 days of champers, fine dining and a travel auction which raised a record-breaking $5,000 for the charity HUSK Cambodia.

Highlights included a City Airport tour which involved a brief photo on the runway and a Molton Brown fragrant breakfast (pictured above) where attendees learned the art of scent from the beautiful Victoire and her team. I was sold on the Oudh Accor with shavings of gold in it and which smelled like an Arabian night.

The evening American Express dinner was a star-spangled event where the ladies Louboutins met with the mens Rolexes and some amazing prizes were given away. We also had online travel glitterati present with the lovely Rob from the popular HeadforPoints in attendance. It was an honour to meet some of our readers and bidders from our Luxury Travel Auction which we hold ongoing on Luxury Travel Diary.

I was delighted to find out that most of our readers, like me, spend over 50 nights a year travelling.  I was also touched by the generosity of our bidders as our hotel auction raised a record-breaking $5,000 for HUSK Vietnam.

There will of course be another event in October 2016 so please do look out for updates and I look forward to meeting more frequent fliers and luxury travellers then. In the meantime I will leave you with some of the comments and feedback from this event which, I hope, will tempt you to join us next year:

“I just wanted to say that I had a great time on Saturday evening and got to know some inspirational people… thank you for giving me the opportunity to go the event. Being a recent graduate it makes me want to strive to become a part of a community like the one I met last night.”

“I spent the rest of the afternoon smelling my arms trying to select my favorite scent from a brilliant array of Molton Brown fragrances. I never knew that smelling coffee or your arms will reset your nose and I will try this next time I travel through duty-free!”

“From the Facebook pics that people are posting, it sounds like everyone had a blast. I’ll definitely plan to attend much more of the Do next year.”

“Just landed at LAX. So sorry that it’s over and I’m now home. Thanks again for all the work you did to put on another fabulous Do.”

“Thank you both for creating a wonderful London, Hyatt experience! Russ and I both had a fine time. We really enjoyed the London City Airport experience. The Molton Brown session was a real learning experience and we thought the presentation was very well planned out and executed. And the combination of people at the Do was a very nice mix. We were able to make new friends and kept the old. Of course the meals and cocktails are always a treat. Only to top it off with winning the hotel stay of my choice, Siem Reap!”

“Great to meet so many luxury travellers at this frequent flier event. Such a great and friendly crowd. I will be back”
