The Crown Lanta Resort & Spa is only an hour and a half from Krabi International airport and one of the top honeymoon resorts in Thailand. It is reached by a van and speedboat (or ferry) transfer over to the magical island of Lanta. Lanta is still regarded as a green paradise where you will find splendid scenery such as rugged tree-covered hills, mangroves, and nine white sandy beaches. In addition, the livelihoods of local fishermen continue to depend on the island and it’s surroundings. As you explore the island you will observe them continuing to work and celebrate their heritage.

Best time to visit
Koh Lanta’s dry season runs from November to April. This is considered the high season and is when most tourists visit. The rainy season runs from May to October. With temperatures still generally warm, those tourists who don’t mind the occasional downpour take advantage of the fact that most areas tend to be a lot quieter and many hotels, including the Crown Lanta, offer reduced rates. May is a great time to visit, as you’ll benefit from having fewer other tourists around and the weather is still good, albeit with the occasional rain shower. From June onwards, the winds might be a factor to consider, especially given the hotel’s high elevation and beachside location. The monsoon tends to be in full swing in September and October so it can be rainy (although warm) during these months.
How to get there
You can fly non-stop to Bangkok via London Heathrow with British Airways, Thai or EVA Air; flight time is around 11 hrs 30 min. From there, you will need to get a connecting flight to Krabi International Airport, which takes about 1 hr 20 min. Once in Krabi, you can either take a boat from Klong Chi Lard Pier, about 5kms outside the town, or a minibus. During the high season, the ferries have two daily departures to Koh Lanta, and you may travel year round via land (minivan). Both modes of transportation take between 1.5 and 2 hours to reach the island.
Crown Lanta Resort & Spa is ideally located, giving you the privacy of paradise, while also offering access to all the sights and sounds that Koh Lanta has to offer.
