Tourist numbers travelling to Japan surpassed 10 million for the first time in 2013, and this record breaking pace looks set to continue into 2016. Luxury hotel companies that have recently expanded their business to Japan include Aman Resorts, Starwood Hotels and now Langham Hotels are opening the Langham Tokyo.
Located in Tokyo’s liveliest entertainment area, Roppongi district, The Langham Tokyo, Japan will cost approximately ¥50 billion ($420 million) and is set to open in 2019, a year before Tokyo hosts the 2020 Olympics.
I very much love and I have writte a review of Langham London but on Luxury Travel Diary’s last trip to Tokyo we stayed and reviewed the Andaz Tokyo. I look forward to the opening of the Langham, very much more than the lower end Robot Hotel also launching across Japan which frankly gives me the creeps!
