Book A Stay

You know you’re staying somewhere fairly fabulous when the rooms are broken into levels like Alias and Incognito. The rooms have all been named after style icons, literary geniuses’ and rock legends.

This type of hotel doesn’t run ridiculous cut-price offers because they know that once you’ve stayed there, you’ll be back. Your experience will be so exceptional that word-of-mouth is the only publicity they need. Dupond-Smith is precisely one of these hidden gems.

Location

Secreted away in the heart of Paris’s wonderful Marais quarter, this fine establishment comprises eight luxurious bedrooms and suites, each with its own inimitable style and décor that will leave you wanting for nothing.

The hotel is situated in the most exclusive part of the Marais, which is both steeped in history, with many a hidden courtyard or garden to discover, as well as being as chic and contemporary as Paris gets with a very arty vibe going on and numerous galleries, museums, and boutiques to uncover. If you’re looking to explore, you’ll find yourself just a 5-minute walk from the metro, 10 minutes from Notre Dame, 20 minutes to the River Seine, 30 minutes to The Louvre, and a scenic 1-hour stroll to the Eiffel Tower.

Style & Character

The wonderful staff at the hotel are willing to help with anything from restaurant recommendations and reservations to delivering a perfectly chilled (8° to 11°, according to the particular vintage!) glass of champagne to your room from their wonderful champagne menu.

Rooms

Setting the bar even higher for boutique hotels, the Dupond-Smith offers its guests the ultimate privacy, luxury, and style. Its eight bedrooms are divided into three levels: Alias (their luxury version of a standard room), Incognito (a superior style room), and finally, Intuitu (beautifully designed and decorated private suites). The Alias rooms offer a generous size and lounging capacity with a king-size or twin single beds, ergonomic desk, wardrobe, bathroom with rain shower, and one even has its own little balcony!

The larger Incognito Rooms are either hidden away in the eaves of this enchanting building or are lower down with small private terraces to take in the fresh air and watch the world go by. Finally, the largest Intuitu Private Suites, some with private balconies, include more extravagant design features like an entrance alcove, dressing room, bar, and lounge area in addition to a separate luxurious bedroom area and bathroom with bath and rain shower.

All of the rooms and suites benefit from air-conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV, complimentary (excellent) Wi-Fi, a safe, your own personal espresso coffee machine, a selection of Kusmi teas and herbal teas, minibar, iPod Station, bathrobes, slippers and last but by no means least – toiletries from the gorgeous Parisian Perfume House: Diptyque – a personal favorite of mine. Oh, and a good night’s sleep is guaranteed as the beds are deliciously comfy, and despite being right in the middle of busy Marais, you won’t hear a thing from the street as the windows are double-glazed – perfect for a cheeky holiday lay-in!

Service & Facilities

The hotel offers a vast array of services, in fact, everything you can imagine, from complimentary use of travel adapters (for US and UK appliances – very handy!) to baby beds and babysitting, beauty treatments, massages, hairdressing, and personal training sessions in your room, complimentary use of an iPad and the internet during your stay, laundry and dry cleaning, 24-hour room service, turndown service and there’s even a clothing crease removal service available!

Food & Drink

Although there is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, you are just a short stroll from some amazing Parisian cafes, bistros, bars, and restaurants, so you’d more than likely choose to eat out anyway. The Hotel does offer a variety of breakfast menus. However, they are well worth a try, and these can be served in your room or the ground-floor lobby and are uniquely available all day long.

Conclusion

So if you want to be part of something exclusive to those ‘in the know,’ then try this fabulous Parisian boutique hotel, and I’m sure you’ll be back… though make sure you keep it between us as our little secret ;).
