According to Business Traveller Magazine, Finnair’s new A350 has completed its inaugural flight around Airbus’ factory in Toulouse.
The aircraft is due for delivery on October 7 and routings will include Helsinki to London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol. The A350’s first long-haul route, a daily service between Helsinki and Shanghai, is scheduled for October 25 and Beijing is due to from November 21. Finnair’s Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore routes will be served by both the A350 and A330 aircraft.
Finnair is the first airline in Europe to operate the A350 and the third worldwide, following Qatar Airways and Vietnam Airlines.
The 297-seat configuration has 46 seats in business class, 43 in Economy Comfort and 208 in economy. The 46 Business Class seats (pictured above) will be configured in a 1-2-1 arrangement and include a Zodiac Cirrus III wide and long full-flat bed seats and all will have direct access to the aisle. Wi-Fi and additional wireless in-flight entertainment services are available for passengers own devices. Business Class meals will be accompanied by carefully selected wines.
The window seats are the best seats in Business Class on the Finnair A350, although avoid row 1 and 9 which sit directly in front of the toilets.
