Canada’s low-fare airline is now offering cheap flights to Canada from London on a non-stop service from London Gatwick to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto and St. John’s along with £10 fares on connecting flights to select cities.

From spring next year, customers can enjoy flying in style on board WestJet’s fleet of Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto, and to St. John’s on WestJet’s Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 series, with one-way flights starting from as little as £163 including taxes, fees and surcharges.

This new service flies out of Gatwick and starts May 2016 and I when I selected a flight for 3 to Vancouver 10-20th May the price really did come in cheap, at £456pp which is much cheaper than Air Canada or BA.

There is no luxury class on this airline, the seating is economy only in a 2-3-2 formation, but for the price I doubt there will be any complaints.

“Europeans have been paying far too much to fly to Canada and for far too long, so today, as we have throughout our history, we’re going to fix that,” declared Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Commercial. “We are offering non-stop flights at very low prices and we’re proud to once again lower airfares and make travel more affordable.”
