This private boutique villa is the perfect seaside getaway, set in tropical gardens, designed in a fusion of Swahili and coastal elements with high ceilings that keep the villa naturally cool. All the furniture is locally sourced and crafted, and there are plenty of comfortable seating areas to while away your time at the beach – all rooms taking advantage of the fantastic ocean views.
Shwari offers both self-catering and catered options and is fully staffed including a chef and security. Shwari has three lounges, each uniquely comfortable and offering different uses. All lounges at Shwari have high ceilings keeping the villa naturally cool, impressive Lamu style doors and tall windows giving natural light to the rooms. The main lounge is a formal room that can be used for evening drinks. The chill-out lounge is perfect for an afternoon siesta, or to relax and read as it is open and offers a cool breeze. The upstairs lounge is equipped with a TV and complimentary wifi.
The six bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms, with three fixed double beds and three rooms that can be double, twin or family rooms. All have fitted mosquito nets, overhead fans and a small safe. The house can sleep a maximum of 14 guests including children, making Shwari a fantastic retreat for a large family group

Shwari is fully staffed so your stay will be in complete luxury and staff will cater for your every need. The villa has a head chef, a sous chef, your butler, two room stewards, one pool attendant, two gardeners, one maintenance manager and one laundry manager who arranges complementary laundry.
The name Shwari comes from Swahili meaning peace and tranquility, but there is plenty to do on this idyllic beach. Along with eating the delicious food and lazing, you can paddle board, snorkel, kite surf, deep-sea fish or simply take tea in the forest watching the elephants.
