Gansevoort Dominican Republic, Playa Imbert is a brand new resort on the North coast of the Dominican Republic with ocean views and evening sunsets. Get captivated by the lush tropical landscape, the crystal clear water decorated by deep-sea coral, and the picture-perfect private beach. The Gansevoort Dominican Republic was named one of the best places to travel in 2015 by Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler’s favorite new beach escape – so is surely worth a try!
Gansevoort Dominican Republic, Playa Imbert comprises 24 lofts, 18 luxury apartments, and 6 penthouses all boasting full kitchens and ocean views. The rooms are modern, luxurious with walk-in closets, a full-size refrigerator had been stocked with beverages and fruit (free!), and floor-to-ceiling windows that open up onto the garden or your own private balcony. Larger apartments have a full kitchen, living room, and dining area.
Pools & Beach
The three-tiered cascading infinity pool has unobstructed views of the ocean and a serene sea breeze to set the island vibe in motion. Playa Imbert’s crescent-shaped beach can be admired while lounging on oversized pool cabanas. Complimentary pool chaise lounges also offer prime spots to bathe under the brilliant Dominican Republic sun. A second adults-only pool offers an even more peaceful alternative.
The pristine beach is just in front of the property, complete with beach beds to laze on and soft golden sand to bury your feet in! There is also a coral reef just a short walk (or swim) from the hotel. The hotel supplies snorkel equipment and a guide, all complementary. This is not a place where you are being “nickel and dimed” and every turn. You can also kayak and paddleboard if you feel more active.
Dine alfresco on decking and under the shade of umbrellas on the edge of the perfect beach. You are so close you can hear the waves lapping in the bay as you eat!
The menu here is extensive with delicious food and friendly waiters (who speak English). All ingredients are super fresh, with healthy options in addition to delicious heartier fare. The chef is delightful and she will make you pretty much anything you want, including sushi and fish that are not on the menu – If they catch something fresh that day, they cook it up right away for you. This beachside restaurant overlooks the ocean so has the most perfect view of the sunsets.
There are several stores within walking distance, that carry basic necessities. The hotel often provides a driver to take guests to the larger grocery store and to the neighboring town of Caberet. Cabaret is also the perfect spot for some more lively nightlife in the evening.
The Gansevoort Dominican Republic offers the best of resort-style living. The views here are spectacular from every angle, pristine and unobscured by high-rise hotels. The view at night, especially the sunset looking out at the lights of the city across the water, is simply breathtaking.
