As of a couple of days ago, Rick Stein has officially announced that he will be opening a new restaurant on the Sandbanks peninsula, Dorset. This is exciting news for Sandbanks residents and beyond as there is currently a lack of decent restaurants in Britains answer to Monte-Carlo.
With views across the water you will be able to enjoy a casual lunch with classic dishes such as Cornish crab salads and moules marinière, alongside seafood dishes including dover sole meunière, turbot hollandaise and fruits de mer.
The chef, who is known for his love of seafood, is thought to have been approached to buy the fashionable Poole restaurant, which went into liquidation – five months after the business was wrecked by a fire.
Since Rick opened his first flagship seafood restaurant in 1975 in Padstow and his new restaurant will be a breath of fresh air on the restaurant scene in Sandbank. We look forward to this Autumn opening.
