Manchester is not my ideal location for a holiday, but it is a surprisingly vibrant city and offers excellent shopping including two of my favourite shops, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. Other attractions include the fabulous concerts that are held at Manchester Arena and the great local bars and colourful local nightlife.
So why stay at the Renaissance Manchester? Location Location Location. The Renaissance Manchester is perfectly located on Deansgate just 5 minutes walk to Manchester Arena and within a couple of minutes walk to all the main shops. This is also the heart of Manchester’s entertainment quarter, making it ideal for nights out, being so close restaurants and bars.
Consistently at this hotel, the staff are given accolades for being super helpful and friendly. You will feel instantly taken care of. On a recent stay we were also told by the wonderful staff that the hotel has a deal with the taxi firm to the airport, which works out the same price as public transport so it is worth getting them to arrange your taxis for you.
The size of the bedrooms is also worth mentioning as they are large with a lounge area, excellent workspace and WIFI access. Higher floors give great views, the bed is comfortable and very importantly, the rooms are quiet.
The bar and restaurant tend to be lively and make it worth staying in the hotel for the evening. Once again it is manned with plenty of friendly staff and the food comes hot, well presented, is tasty.
Is this the best hotel in Manchester? I think so, and if it isn’t I would love to know where you might find a better one.
