Park Hyatt Istanbul Review

Reviews : Accommodation

Istanbul is a frenetic city of over 14m people, with endless traffic jams on its streets. The luxury five-star Park Hyatt Istanbul – Maçka Palas is an oasis of peace in Istanbul, ideally located just off the main luxury shopping street in the fashionable Nisantasi residential and shopping district, which is also the most refined and safe neighborhood in Istanbul. Within a short stroll of the hotel, you will find upscale designer shops, including the likes of Burberry Gucci, Armani, Hermes, as well as ultra-trendy bars and restaurants. Park Hyatt Istanbul-Macka Palas is also within 5 minutes walking distance to Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dolmabahce Palace, and a short drive from the old town where you can visit Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque.

Hotel
As one of Istanbul’s most luxurious boutique hotels, the Park Hyatt delivers an individual modern style derived from art deco. The hotel’s design incorporates wood elements in the floor, wall cladding, and furniture, which is well blended and finished and is clearly expensive. Natural sunlight streams into the large lobby area and the intimate wine bar and elegant lounge where you take breakfast as well as light meals, drinks, and afternoon tea.

Rooms
The Park Hyatt Istanbul has 90 generously sized luxury rooms and suites that present traditional Turkish patterns and icons in contemporary scale and composition. They are extremely well designed and well furnished with a clever blend of luxury, but they remain fairly minimalistic rather than sumptuous or decadent. They have made some really good choices in the art and photography in the bedrooms. Park King room facilities include a walk-in shower, Turkish bath, separate work area, and Complimentary Wi-Fi. The spa suite comes with its own small hammam, and the rather special Presidential Suite at this Park Hyatt has a private lift straight in your room.

Also present in the hotel are the fitness facility and the fabulous outdoor pool infinity pool.

This hotel is the epitome of style and true Turkish hospitality, a perfectly formed boutique retreat that enables you to escape the madness of Istanbul whilst being located in the most upscale part of the city.
