Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale

Four Seasons hotels have recently been expanding across South Florida. I have already covered the upcoming The Surf Club Four Seasons Hotel & Residences under construction in Surfside near Miami Beach. What I failed to mention previously is that there is also a Four Seasons Hotel & Residences being built in Fort Lauderdale, which is expected to break ground by the end of the year.

Rumors are circulating that the Four Seasons and developer and entrepreneur Nadim Ashi of Fort Partners in Miami are eyeing up the Naples area. Ashi said he chooses Four Seasons because of the company’s stability and reputation.

Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale
The Four Seasons in Fort Lauderdale is planned with 150 hotel rooms and 95 residences. Construction is set to begin in 2016 on the beachfront plot on Fort Lauderdale Beach and is scheduled for completion in 2018.

The prices for the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale residences start at $1.2 million USD to more than $10 million USD. Sales of the residences will launch officially during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in early November.

The Surf Club Four Seasons Hotel & Residences
The Surf Club Four Seasons Hotel & Residences is set to be completed in spring 2016. The hotel will feature 80 rooms and two 12-story residential towers with 150 homes, including 12 penthouses. The hotel and residential development will also have a private club, two restaurants, four swimming pools, and a spa and fitness center.

The Surf Club Four Seasons Residences are almost 75 percent presold after sales launched earlier this year with prices ranging from $3 million USD to $35 million USD. The project blends old with new by incorporating the historic 1920s-era Surf Club in its design.

So let us compare these two luxury Four Seasons Residences. Both projects aim to reach the target buyers who are wealthy Americans looking for a second or third home that are seeking the kind of services a Four Season can provide. However in terms of cost of Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale wins hands down with a two-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot residence at the Fort Lauderdale Four Seasons project is priced around $3.5 million USD, while a 2,500-square-foot, two-bedroom residence at The Surf Club is selling for about $7 million USD.

Other new Four Seasons properties also set to open include New York DownTown, Boston and on Four Seasons O’ahu in Hawaii in the next 24 months, Hart said.
