Nano-b The Perfect Travel Toothbrush

News : Style

When I am at home I have an electric toothbrush, but when I travel I find carrying this plus the bulky charger most inconvenient and I would horrify my dentist when I admit to mainly using the free and rather poor toothbrush offerings supplied by hotels.

There is another way. The Nano-b toothbrush flew with me to Venice and it was a breath of fresh air. It comes in a nice resealable container which is perfect for travel and best of all, it doesn’t house a growing jungle of disgusting mouth bacteria.

Why is bacteria a problem?
The average toothbrush isn’t clean and safe! Researchers at the University of Manchester found the average toothbrush is home to more than 10 million bacteria (including E.coli, staphylococci, and even fecal germs). That’s right, while you read this more than 10 million bacteria are growing on your toothbrush, ready to spread diseases and infections in your body.

Unfortunately, accumulation of bacteria on your toothbrush isn’t the only problem. It turned our most of the toothbrushes on the market have bristles that are not entirely safe to our gums. The reason is in the bristles – during manufacturing they are cut in a straight way, so just after a few uses, they become frayed, sharp and dangerous. Sharp enough to cut and damage our enamel and gums while we brush (and using a soft toothbrush doesn’t help either). So, while we brush, we virtually create a mess, opening numerous micro-wounds in our mouths. Remember the bacteria on your toothbrush? These bacteria can enter our blood system through these wounds and cause numerous dangerous diseases and infections. More and more medical studies are finding bacteria or other germs from the mouth, spread through the bloodstream and attach to damaged areas in the heart and other organs.

How it works
The Nano-b is not an ordinary toothbrush, It is the Nano-b’s natural antibacterial properties that sets it apart, as this manual toothbrush has 99.9% effectiveness in killing bacteria.

Each of the Nano-b’s bristles are coated with either silver, gold or bamboo charcoal nano-sized particles. These microscopic particles release negatively charged ions that penetrate bacterial cells, suppressing the cell’s respiration and metabolism. This kills bacteria and prevents further growth on your toothbrush as Nano-b bristles are resistant to any airborne bacteria as well.

The antibacterial properties of gold and silver have been known for thousands of years. This ancient understanding dates back to the Egyptians, where gold and silver containers were used to store food to prevent it from spoiling. Today, silver continues to be used extensively in medical tools and appliances because of its antimicrobial nature. From catheters and endotracheal breathing tubes to disinfectant sprays, the properties of silver are widely adopted as a safe and effective way of eliminating bacteria.

The classy black color of the bamboo charcoal looks nice, doesn’t it? But it adds much more than style to the Charcoal and Gold toothbrush. You see, bamboo charcoal is the ultimate natural absorber of impurities. The nano-particles absorb all the dirt and stains from your teeth and are natural teeth whitener. You don’t really need poisonous whitening chemicals anymore, just a little help from nature in the form of our awesome charcoal toothbrush.

Nanoparticles are very small particles between 1 and 100 nanometers is size. During our manufacturing process, gold, silver and charcoal are broken down into such nanoparticles, so they can be integrated with our bristles. Regardless of their small size, all of these particles retain 100% of their respective properties. These are small enough so they can fit on your toothbrush. Once they are there, the nanoparticles stay on your toothbrush and cannot be washed out or worn down.

So in a nutshell the bristles on these toothbrushes, unlike your standard brush, stop bacteria growing on them so that when you put them in your mouth, you are not wiping around a brush infested with nasties each time you brush your teeth. Considering these bacteria can then enter your system through cuts in your gums, they are a concern. The fact that these toothbrushes also naturally whiten your teeth means that I’m sold!

My only problem is that on my return from Venice, my imagination has gone wild and I can’t bear to put my old brush in my mouth for fear of what it is doing to my mouth and beyond… It would seem that once you try a Nano-b you won’t go back.
