Hyatt Centric South Beach Review

Reviews : Accommodation

The Hyatt Centric South Beach, Miami is now open at 1600 Collins Avenue. This is the one first Hyatt Centric branded hotels to open in the world and follows the opening of the Hyatt Centric Chicago The Loop. Hyatt Centric is Hyatt’s new brand designed to appeal to millenials. The look is much like a Park Hyatt, modern and slick with top notch amenities and Hyatt Grand beds.

The Hyatt Centric South Beach is located just block from the famously luxe Ocean Drive, and close to fine dining vibrant cafes, bars and restaurants. The spacious hotel lobby on the 3rd floor is cool and airy and opens onto a Spanish-Mediterranean South Beach restaurant, serving locally sourced small plates and artisanal cocktails. Around the corner, the roof deck pool is the perfect place to cool down with a tropical sangria while basking in the sun in your cabana bed.

Downstairs, the hotel’s fitness center is open 24 hours, so even the earliest of risers can sweat it out before breakfast, and people in town for work will be pleased to discover that free Wi-Fi exists throughout the hotel, as does an intimate function space available for focus groups, meetings and events.

With the beach just steps from the front door, there is virtually no excuse to pass up a nap on the sand. Chairs and towels (included in your resort fee) will make it difficult to peel yourself away.

Rooms on opening night this month started at $219 USD a night, excluding taxes plus a mandatory $20 USD resort fee which includes premium internet, two beach chairs and towels and other services.
