The owner is incredibly helpful and will try to accommodate all you needs including early check-ins, late check-outs and they add little surprises too that you wouldn’t normally get in a self-catering stay. When you arrive, you will find the kitchen thoughtfully pre-stocked with a few basics to allow you to have a reviving cup of coffee and biscuit and for anything else you need there is a supermarket nearby or if you want to enjoy a kitchen-free vacation there are numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance. The Bijou Apartment is also the perfect base from which to soak up the culture, history, architecture and nightlife of Edinburgh and it’s absolutely ideal for enjoying The Edinburgh Festival and Fringe Festival, where you might just see the next Emma Thompson, Rowan Atkinson, Sarah Millican or Graham Norton (all of whose careers began at the Edinburgh Festival!).
