The good news for our UK readers is that British Airways has just launched a new Luxury World Sale for Club Europe, Club World, and First. This new sale is based on flights out of Gatwick and Heathrow and routes can be booked into May 2016.
Headline prices in Club World include:
- Dubai: £1,597 GBP
- New York: £2,031 GBP
- Hong Kong: £2,588 GBP
- Rio: £2,137 GBP
- Chennai: £1,728 GBP
- Barbados: £1,695 GBP
- Las Vegas: £1,999 GBP
- Beijing: £1,897 GBP
- Toronto: £1,812 GBP
- Abu Dhabi: £1,424 GBP
- Male: £2,176 GBP
First Class is around £1,000 GBP more return.
European deals in Club Europe are also available. The cheapest routes include: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bilbao, Dublin, Genoa, Rome, Nice, etc, and come in at under £250 GBP. These are a cheap way to pick up 80 tier points towards status renewal.
You need 300 Tier Points to achieve Bronze status (which gets you priority boarding and 25% extra avios), 600 Tier Points or take a total of 50 BA flights to get Silver (which will get you British Airways lounge access, extra baggage and 50% bonus avios). You need to fly BA at least four times and earn 1500 Tier Points per anum for Gold.
