Aspire Airport Lounge Heathrow Terminal 5

Reviews : Transport

There is a new Aspire Airport Lounge Heathrow Terminal 5. You no longer need to be a premium British Airways cardholder or need to travel in business or first class to access an airport lounge in Heathrow Terminal 5. You can now pay for, (or use your Priority Pass to), access the Aspire airport lounge in London Heathrow Terminal 5. You can read my personal review of the Aspire Airport Lounge Heathrow Terminal 5 including pictures that I took while I was there and you can also see a video of the Aspire Lounge in this article.

Previously, Heathrow’s Terminal 5 has been one to avoid for me as I can only get access to the Galleries Club Lounge in Terminal 5 which I reviewed here, if I book Club fares due to my lowly British Airways status. If you have a higher BA Status you can also get access to Galleries First in Heathrow. As I don’t have status, I don’t think the cost of Club Europe on British Airways is worth it, just to snag me lounge access.

The good news is that Heathrow Airport officially announced the appointment of Terminal 5’s first independent lounge. ‘Aspire, the Lounge and Spa at LHR T5’. It opened on the 4th of August and is available to everyone traveling through Terminal 5, regardless of their class of travel. Located near Gate 18, the lounge is designed to meet independent customer demand for a place to relax and refresh in the world’s leading airport terminal.

This is excellent news for anyone without premium British Airway status. You can simply buy a Priority Pass or take out an American Express Platinum charge card (which comes with two Priority Pass cards).
