Chateau Mezger

Located In France

There is a special place in my heart for luxury boutique guesthouses. Distant and unique boltholes that will enable you to experience an extraordinary trip. Chateau Mezger falls into this category. Within easy reach of London and Paris being only 10 minutes from Montauban and its TGV station, 15 minutes from the Paris/Toulouse Autoroute (A20) and 40 minutes from Toulouse International Airport, this rather sophisticated retreat will offer you an escape in the warmth and sunshine of Southern France in a salubrious Chateau setting. There is something rather special about strolling around acres of well-tended grounds (which you aren’t responsible for maintaining!) and absorbing views across rolling hills. This is exactly what I suggest you do at the charming Chateau Mezger.

Situated in Albefeuille Lagarde, Chateau Mezger commands elevated views over the surrounding countryside.  Built in the Arts & Crafts style in 1912 for the marriage of a prominent Dutch diplomat to his French wife, this Beaux-Arts Chateau was constructed using the region’s finest materials. Chateau Mezger is set in 5 acres of mature parkland and gardens complete with a large ecological spring-fed swimming pool. Ideally located for exploring the fascinating Midi-Pyrenees region, whether you are a keen cyclist, enjoy water sports, site seeing, gastronomic & wine enthusiast or just relaxing in a truly wonderful environment, there is plenty to see and do.

Designed for the more discerning guest looking for a superior chambre d’hôte experience, the historic rooms are all generously sized offering en-suite shower/bathrooms, luxurious toiletries & 600 thread count Egyptian Cotton bed linen. All rooms also offer extensive views of the grounds and surrounding country-side.

The continental breakfast (which is included in the price of your stay) offers a selection of homemade jams and preserves, locally baked bread and pastries, cold meats and cheeses, yoghurts and fresh fruit. teas, ground coffee and fresh fruit juice. In the evening your hosts offer a four course meal (for a small additional fee) to expose you to the flavours of this region. Representing the best of produce from this gastronomic area the seasonal menu is sourced from local producers while fruit, vegetables and herbs are grown at Chateau Mezger itself.

From the honesty bar to an environment and atmosphere that appeals to people who appreciate the little luxuries in life Chateau Mezger offers the perfect retreat and a place to truly relax and unwind (To ensure a truly relaxing stay Chateau Mezger does not accommodate guests under 16yrs of age or any pets). Whether you choose to laze by the pool, in the gardens or to by to enjoy the wines and activities of the picturesque Midi-Pyrenees region, you are only a Eurostar hop away from a feeling like royalty in this very unique Chateau.
