The JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa opens in March 2015 and if you have already read my “where to travel to in 2015” article, you will already know that I am specifically travelling to Venice in May to properly review this wonderful new hotel.
So why am I excited about this property? Well, it is rare event when a hotel of this massive scale opens in Venice. In fact, the only recent opening which is even slightly comparable in terms of scale is the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice which opened in 2007. If you take a look at the bird’s eye view on the picture below, you get an idea of the immense scale of this resort. Secondly, I actually discovered this hotel on the Marriott forum of flyertalk and this hotel offers an excellent and luxury way to spend Marriott points in Venice which is appealing, particularly to our US counterparts who tend to earn and redeem Marriott points in greater volumes due to the numerous Marriott properties across the USA.
The new JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is immaculately restored and lovingly designed by master architect Matteo Thun, and is located on Italy’s Isola delle Rose (Rose Island). An oasis of calm and surrounded by gardens the hotel rooms and suites are infused with natural light and offer modern clean lines and a stylish finish. Other amenities within the resort include a relaxing spa (the largest in Venice), and features a wide array of massage therapies, wellness services, and beauty treatments. and a modern fitness centre. Savour the tastes of Italy at one of their restaurants, or linger over a cocktail at the rooftop bar and gaze out over Venice. The hotel is an extraordinary setting for events, and features a historic church as well as flexible outdoor venues. And last but not least, the magical city of Venice is right on your doorstep as the hotel offers a complimentary 24-hour service to and from the central island of Venice, which is only 15 minutes away.
