Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort is one of my favourite hotels in one of my favourite locations, Monaco.
My family and I return to Monaco at this time of year as it’s nice and quiet, the cruise ships and coach tours won’t be back until late spring. This leaves the Principality feeling gorgeously local. Sprinkle in some of the best Christmas decorations I have ever seen, fine dining, indoor pools, Christmas markets, and the fun of sitting out with a beer under heater lamps in Casino Square, and I am as happy as Rudolph in a carrot field.
I am already booked into the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort” href=”https://www.luxurytraveldiary.com/2015/01/monte-carlo-bay-hotel-review/”>Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort for part of my glittering Christmas holidays. I am now tempted to stay for their star-spangled musical-themed New Years’ offering too. They are concocting a festive New Years’ atmosphere by creating a program inspired by famous musicals re-enacted throughout the hotel.
A transformed setting, trendy and fun amenities, and many more surprises await you as the countdown approaches.
To begin, in the lobby, a Rock’n Roll cocktail, straight out of the ’50s: “Grease is the Word” The ” T-Birds” and “Pink Ladies” will revamp the hit musical around a champagne bar open from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, with amazing acrobatic dancing!
Restaurant L’Orange Verte will be steeped in a Latin mood for a sneak preview of the new fashionable musical “Soy de Cuba”. Led by outstanding dancers, Mambo, Salsa, and Lambada will be completely revealed on this trip to Havana! (Menu: €220 EUR drinks not included – 1 complimentary glass of champagne at midnight).
The hotel’s restaurant, Marcel Ravin At The Blue Bay, will be transformed into a “New-York, New-York” environment. Liza Minelli and Franck Sinatra’s favorite tunes will accompany a top gastronomy menu created by the talented Chef Marcel Ravin. (Menu: €360 EUR, 1/2 bottle of champagne included – 1 complimentary glass of champagne at midnight)/
At the Blue Gin, 2015 will arrive to the tunes of “Mamma Mia” and trendy DJ John Lorenz to become the “Dancing Queen” of the night! The 12 strokes of midnight will be uproarious, and the evening memorable. (Drinks: €50 EUR for 1 alcohol or 2 softs).
