Competing against the Volkswagen California, Mercedes-Benz has based its Marco Polo camper on the standard V-Class. It is designed to seat or sleep up to four people and comes complete with a mini kitchen, wardrobe, and fold-away table.
I love the stylish interior, in particular the gorgeous light or dark decking for the floor and the creamy Lugano leather upholstery.
For sleeping, a split backrest allows the back seats to be independently flattened into a double bed, at the touch of a button. A slightly larger foam mattress is also located on the pop-up roof.
Tinted rear glass and curtains to the windscreen and side windows keep your privacy intact and stylish portable chairs and table set is also included.
The engine is made up of three four-cylinder turbo diesel engines, ranging from 134bhp and 188bhp, with the 161bhp 220 CDI capable of 47mpg with comparatively low 158g/km of C02 emissions.
The Camper is already on sale in Germany but Mercedes-Benz has no UK launch date unless interest increases. Sob. With prices from close to £45,000 GBP, I am sure I’m not the only Brit who would love a night in this luxury glamper van!
