Due to its immense size, the Sheraton Waikiki offers some of the best views on the Waikiki beachfront strip. The hotel itself has been recently refurbished but remains an ugly 3 pronged high rise from the outside. Beautiful it is not. But what it does have is the perfect central location, beachfront and right in the heart of Waikiki.
The rooms are good quality for a 4-star and recently refurbished, although the bathrooms tend to be on the small side. And the views, well I think the photos we took speak for themselves.
The Club Lounge (extra charge) at the top of the building, is also worth considering as it also offers incredible views to Diamond Head, but we prefer sitting outside under the stars and listening to the waves.
This hotel offers good value in Waikiki, but please watch out for the resort fee (currently $30 USD per night). You can opt-out of this charge if you ask at the front desk and don’t want to use the resort facilities (ie free parking, internet, photo session & free food for kids under 5yrs old).
