Book A Stay

The beautiful country of Croatia is worth traveling to for its incredibly diverse landscapes and coastlines with stunning long white beaches bordering the turquoise blue seas of the Adriatic.

Location

A super place to visit is the town of Rovinj, located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula, this popular tourist destination and active fishing port features a Venetian-style Old Town, which spreads out across a magnificent oval-shaped peninsula and the history in the area can be dated back to the 1st century with Roman ruins and temples.

Style & Character

A great place to stay that has only recently opened after an extensive renovation process is the Hotel Adriatic, Rovinj, a luxury all-suite hotel owned by Maistra Hotels & Resorts, with great views of the Old Town, harbor, and Island of St. Katarina. This ultra-modern and well-thought-out hotel has everything the modern discerning traveler could ask for, right down to the smallest of touches like the USB charging points in your bedroom – so handy!

Rooms

The architects and designers that worked on this hotel wanted it to be a place for guests to relax and dream, not just to lay their heads. Inspired by the hotel’s 100-year-old heritage, the hotel offers a heady concoction of fantastic local artwork, uber-modern minimalist (but seriously gorgeous) suites, and views to get lost in. There are 18 suites to choose from in the Adriatic Hotel, all with wonderful views over the Island of St. Katarina or Rovinj’s Main Square and Old Town. Each suite has its own style perfectly matched to the individual artworks in each room.

There are five levels of suites to choose from, starting with the Atelier Suites, which have views over the colorful roofs of Rovinj’s Old Town and a king-size bed or two separate beds and shower room. The next level up is the Gallery Suites which are more like modern, spacious lofts with quirky sloping ceilings and a more intimate feel. They lie at the very top of the Hotel with king-size beds and bathrooms with hand-made mosaics and spacious walk-in showers.

Piazza Suites which sleep up to 4 guests (using an additional sofa bed) overlook the picturesque main square of Rovinj. Some also have views of the main promenade and the Island of St. Katarina in the distance. These suites with large double or twin beds come with two TVs, a luxurious sofa, a walk-in shower room, and large artistic masterpieces adorn their walls, some in frames or canvas and some simply on the actual walls themselves, stunning!

Grand Piazza Suites, which again sleep up to 4, have rather unique sea views over the main square and bustling promenade, the king-size bed, a luxurious sofa, two TVs, a walk-in shower, and a large bathtub, and an elegant fireplace for colder nights. Finally, the most spectacular suites are the Adriatic Suites feature two balconies with views of Rovinj’s main square, the lively waterfront, and promenade; a king-size bed, and a freestanding bathtub right in your bedroom; a three-seater sofa, two TVs, walk-in shower, and an elegant fireplace. As well as all of this, your suite will include complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, SMART TV, a safe, mini-bar, tea, and coffee-making facilities, room service, and a fruit basket on arrival.

Service & Facilities

Although the hotel doesn’t have a pool or spa, guests are invited to use the facilities at the sister Eden and Lone hotels. Alternatively, there is plenty to do and see in the area to more than keep you occupied. The beautiful Venetian old town has plenty of winding cobbled streets and artists’ workshops to explore. Less than an hour away, you can discover the Roman ruins at Pula or the subterranean Baredine Cave with impressive stalagmites. If you enjoy an afternoon at the beach, you should take a boat trip to the beach on the Island of St. Katarina, which departs right in front of the hotel.

This beautifully designed and artistic hotel is so much more than just a place to sleep while visiting this beautiful part of Croatia, its style and sophistication speak for themselves, and the staff offers warmth and hospitality that will leave you yearning to return again soon.

Food & Drink

Hotel Adriatic can cater to all your dining needs with its bar and restaurant. Brasserie Adriatic overlooks the harbor and the main town square, and in keeping with the rest of the hotel, it features works of art decorating its walls. The restaurant serves a delicious, freshly prepared à la carte breakfast served from 7:00 am and modern dishes inspired by the French Riviera seasoned with local flavors and ingredients.

On the other hand, the Adriatic Caffe Bar is the perfect place for a coffee and a delicious slice of cake or a chilled glass of wine overlooking the winding stone streets of Rovinj. The bar also prides itself on offering the widest choice of classic cocktails and whiskeys in Croatia. If you want to venture further afield, the hotel concierge will happily recommend and book restaurants. There are plenty to choose from, including fine dining establishments and wonderful waterside lounge bars.
